In addition, it supports images for the Catalyst 2960 and 3750-metro platforms. It is an ED release (STED) optimized for the product innovation and differentiation to evolve traditional Ethernet LANs into integrated switching systems for Enterprise, Commercial and Metro Ethernet Access. With high-performance, comprehensive security, availability and ease of use, these switching systems are optimized for data, voice, video and wireless applications. This release vehicle is based upon the Cisco IOS Software 12.2(18)S maintenance release. Any early deployment (ED) release of software needs to be used in a test network before you deploy it in a production network.
